Abstract
Developmental social and communication disorders are immanent in small children with autism. However, occurrence and intensity of rigid behavior patterns in children aged under three years do not follow a uniform template. Symptoms of limited, repeated and stereotypical patterns of behavior and in-terests are key elements for diagnosing autism, yet the range of these behaviors, interests and improper behavior patterns is extremely diverse in children.An attempt was made to analyze the above-mentioned symptom types based on the author’s recent research. The obtained results may aid a deeper understanding of the functioning of autistic children not only in the sphere characterized above but also in the social and communication spheres.
